Thanksgiving Message

Looking around and listening to what is going on in the world you may find it discouraging and depressing. The last couple of years have been difficult with Covid and all that went with it. You may be dealing with a health situation with yourself or a family member that you are struggling with. It is now election season as well and the campaigning at times is extremely negative. We get to listen to how bad the economy is, inflation, transportation cost, food costs…It goes on and on. Are you feeling thankful yet?

It can be very easy to be overwhelmed by all the noise around you. Maybe we can choose to change the way we think about all of those things and adjust our attitudes, from a negative view to one of positivity.

We live in a country where we have the opportunity to make our opinions known to our leaders by voting. Many people around the world are left with no voice and have few freedoms, if any. We are truly blessed to live in this country. Listening to all the political talk and arguing can be very frustrating but it will calm down after the voters have made their voices heard. The right to vote is something to be thankful for. Be sure to vote on election day and leave the polling station with a big smile on your face!

We are blessed by having the best health care in the world. When you are feeling bad or in pain you know that there are people who can help to relieve or minimize the problem. We are free to travel where we want. Many people in the world are limited or prohibited to travel at all.

We may see our country in chaos with the economy, crime, and other concerns. Remember, this country has survived a civil war, economic downturns, and other problems. We will get through this as well. Look to your Faith, Family, and Friends. Treasure the small blessings in your life and look to the good in everything. Open your eyes every day and give thanks for just being alive.

Our nation has set aside a day to give thanks for the abundant blessings we have in our lives. When you gather this year with family and friends take a moment and think about all of the abundance we have. Whether you are with a large or small gathering, just enjoy the gifts you have in your life.

Tina and I want you to know that each and every one of you is a blessing in our lives. You have encouraged and inspired us to become better yoga teachers and better people. We are thankful for your support and look forward to seeing you on your mat in class when you are able.
